Jowita Przystal was left saying she was 'so sorry' to her celebrity dance partner Pete Wicks as they offered a painful Strictly Come Dancing training update.

Viewers of the BBC One dance contest will have seen Pete and Jowita perform for only the second time live in the iconic ballroom this weekend after the new series officially got underway earlier this month.

During the most recent live show on Saturday night (September 28), reality star and podcast host Pete and Jowita performed a country love story-themed American smooth to I Had Some Help by Post Malone and Morgan Wallen, landing a score of 22 out of a possible 40 from the judges.

It took his overall points total to 39 out of 80 after the scores from week one were added together for each of the 15 couples ahead of the first dance-off and elimination of the 2024 series on Sunday night (September 29).

After surviving the first exit of Strictly 2024, Pete and Jowita have been seen back in training and its been revealed that in week three of the 20th anniversary series, which just so happens to be the Movie Week special, the pair will be performing a Samba to the George Of The Jungle Theme.

On Tuesday (October 1), Pete and Dianne caught up with their fans and followers by hosting a Q&A on Pete's Instagram Stories. One of the first questions asked was: "How are your trotters holding up?" to which Pete replied: "Interesting question and this week, badly. Why's that?" he asked Jowita who sheepishly replied: "Because you're barefoot..."

Pete continued: "Because I'm dancing barefoot. No shoes." Jowita then interjected to say: "But I clean the floor every morning I come here for you," to which Pete said; "She cleans the floor every morning, hopefully, they'll do the same in the studio but yeah, any of you foot fans out there you're in for a treat this week."

Pete was also asked what his biggest challenge will be this week, to which he and Jowita admitted it would be "smiling more" before they were asked how things are going so far in training - and it sounds pretty painful thanks to Pete's bare feet.

"We've just finished eight hours of dancing and I'm shattered, my feet hurt, I'm very sweaty..." Pete said as Jowita interjected: "But it's amazing, right? I just stepped on your foot like three seconds ago, unfortunately, and because Pete's barefoot it's quite painful. I'm so sorry."

It's fine, who needs toes," Pete quipped before adding: "This week is... I don't think anybody has ever seen me like this. I don't even know what to say about it," as he put his head in his hands. Jowita continued: "I love it. I absolutely love it. I think you'll love it as well." Pete rounded off by saying: "Talk about getting lost in the music..."
