Why Liverpool have a different shirt sponsor for Premier League clash with Chelsea
Liverpool normally wear Standard Chartered's logo on the front of their shirts but the Reds have made a one-game-only change for their match against Chelsea at Anfield
by Tom Victor · The MirrorLiverpool will wear the logo of Standard Chartered's community engagement programme 'Futuremakers' for their Premier League match against Chelsea, rather than the logo of the bank itself.
Standard Chartered's own logo usually adorns the front of the Reds' shirts. However, for the Chelsea game, the Futuremakers brand will take its place.
Liverpool's women also wore the Futuremakers kit for their match against Manchester City on October 13. Ahead of the two fixtures, the Merseyside club announced that a number of signed shirts would be auctioned off on fundraising platform Charity Stars.
Standard Chartered's programme is designed to support the next generation overcome inequality when it comes to access to resources. It runs individual programmes in the UK and the US in the fields of entrepreneurship, education and employability.
"The world of work has been rapidly evolving in recent years," a statement on the Futuremakers website reads. "Technology and innovation have disrupted previously established trends.
"Young people need to be equipped with the skills to succeed in this new economy, yet there is a broadening gulf in access to resources. This is where we come in.
"Futuremakers is focused on breaking down barriers to opportunity and empowering the next generation to make meaningful contributions to the world around them."

Liverpool went into Sunday's match against Chelsea knowing they needed a win to reclaim top spot. Earlier on Sunday afternoon, rivals Manchester City left it very late to claim a win from behind against Wolves with John Stones heading home a stoppage-time winner.
Arne Slot's team made an enforced change for the match, with Caoimhin Kelleher starting in goal. First choice keeper Alisson is out thanks to the injury he picked up against Crystal Palace before the international break, with Kelleher recovering from illness to take his place.
“No-one needs me to tell them how good a goalkeeper Alisson is or how well he has been performing this season, but I also do not think too many people will need reminding how good a goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher is or how well he has performed for us when called upon," manager Slot wrote in his programme notes.
“In an ideal world we would not get any injuries but in any Premier League season it is inevitable that players will get injured so it is vital that we have players like Caoimhin who have the quality and attitude to come into the team and make a positive impact. He has done this already this season so hopefully he can do it again.”
