Jake Paul issues furious response to Carl Froch call out after beating Mike Tyson

Broadcaster and former boxer Carl Froch took aim at Jake Paul after the YouTuber out-pointed Mike Tyson in Texas, but Paul has snapped back at the 47-year-old Brit

Jake Paul told Carl Froch to "Shut the f*** up" after the British fighter called him out in the wake of Friday's fight against Mike Tyson.

Paul, who at 27 is 31 years younger than Tyson, won by unanimous decision in the rearranged bout. The fight was originally scheduled for the summer, only for Tyson to suffer an ulcer flare-up, and the 58-year-old has since revealed he "almost died" in June.

Froch, 47, ended his own career with a 33-2 record. He held a number of super-middleweight belts over the course of his time in the ring, but last fought in May 2014 when he handed George Groves a knockout defeat at Wembley.

"I will tie one arm behind my back and finish you for good," Froch wrote on social media, and in a short video which he insisted wasn't a call-out he predicted a "one round demolition job" were Paul to take him on in the ring. However, the American made it clear he disagreed.

"F***ing sour loser [sic]," Paul wrote in response to the Nottingham native. "Shut the f***up. I've done more in 4 years than you have in your life.

"First and last time I respond to your broke salty ass," he added. "Let me know if you want to wash my cars."

A number of boxing fans pointed to Froch's CV in response, though, suggesting Paul perhaps shouldn't be so confident. "Froch would absolutely sleep you that’s why you would never fight him," said one, with another replying: "Kneel when you speak to a hall of famer".

"He's such a big commodity," Froch said of Paul in his video. "He sells tickets, he puts bums on seats, people are interested. Netflix, 30 million, come on. 74,000 though at the AT&T (Stadium), not quite 80,000, is it?

"He's not there yet, he's getting there but he's not quite there - he doesn't do the big crowds, does he? But he pulls in the old Bunsen burner [earner], doesn't he, Jake Paul.

"So I don't think he'll hang his gloves up. There will be a plan for Jake Paul, but I'll tell you what - my mobile phone won't be ringing, will it? They won't be sending me an email, they won't be contacting my agent to get a fight, because they know.

"I ain't calling him out, I'm just letting you know that he knows that I f***ing know if I went in there with Jake Paul, it would be an absolute mismatch. One round demolition job.

"I'd even tie one arm behind my back and, just imagine, one arm behind my back, just lining him up with this right hand and eventually leathering him with a big uppercut or a big overhand dirty stinker. Put him in the el sparko position like he's been tasered."
