SEC and AI: Commission Schedules Roundtable on Super Intelligence

by · Crowdfund Insider

The Securities and Exchange Commission will be hosting a roundtable on November 9th to discuss “super intelligence,” as President Trump has renamed artificial intelligence (AI). The gathering will discuss “machine‑understandable data and super intelligence (SI). The program will feature panel discussions exploring how market participants use SI and machine‑understandable data, the associated risks and costs, and ways the SEC can further support and enhance the use of these technologies.”

Financial services is one of the biggest users of SI, as once-unattainable technology is now widely used by the masses, and agentic trading is already occurring.

Two panels are scheduled: one on how the market currently uses AI and the other on the risks and costs of using the technology and what the Commission should consider to facilitate its use.

Joshua White, Chief Economist and Director of the Division of Economic and Risk Analysis, said participant feedback will help the SEC better facilitate its use.

The roundtable will be open to the public and held at the SEC’s headquarters at 100 F Street, N.E., Washington, D.C., from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. EST.  The SEC will also livestream it on its website.
