Nintendo announces The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake for 2026

The iconic game closed out Nintendo's June 2026 Direct.

The final announcement from today’s Nintendo Direct was The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. A remake of the 1998 adventure game, Ocarina of Time is set to launch this year on the Nintendo Switch 2.

The trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time gave us our first glimpse at Link in the remake. It featured narration about Hyrule, Link, and the coming journey.

Today's Nintendo Direct also included the announcements of Xenoblade Genesis and Pokemon Pokopia DLC.
