The Legend of Zelda movie finds its Ganondorf in Uli Latukefu

The Ganondorf actor previously portrayed a younger Dwayne Johnson in Young Rock.

Nintendo and Sony Pictures have been hard at work on the live-action film based on The Legend of Zelda, which is set to open in theaters next April. Now, it looks like the movie has found its villain. Uli Latukefu will play Ganondorf in The Legend of Zelda.

Deadline reported the news of Uli Latukefu’s casting in the Zelda movie. He’s set to be the antagonist of the film, which will star Benjamin Evan Ainsworth as Link and Bo Bragason as Zelda. The movie was shot in New Zealand and wrapped filming back in April.

According to Deadline, Latukefu signed a multi-picture deal, meaning he could be back as Ganondorf in future Zelda films, should sequels be made.

The Legend of Zelda movie will be released in theaters next year on April 30, 2027. It’ll be the latest adaptation of a Nintendo property, following the two Super Mario Bros. films. As Nintendo continues its foray into cinema, stick with Shacknews.
