Fable: Order of the Hero is an expansion coming as post-launch content

The Hero of Albion's story will continue after the full game releases in February 2027.

Fable received a release month during the Xbox Games Showcase 2026, and after the show ended, the official website unveiled an expansion, Fable: Order of the Hero. This is a brand-new region and story-driven expansion coming after the release of the full game.

On June 7, 2026, the team at Playground Games gave players even more insight into the upcoming Fable with a three-minute video. Keen-eyed sleuths also saw the official Fable website and a new expansion announcement. Fable: Order of the Hero.

This expansion will arrive post-launch and is included in the Fable Premium Edition. The release will focus on an ancient cult that’s been hidden within the very heart of Albion. Players will explore a brand-new region and will accrue the admiration of the cultists. “With your newfound authority, you’ll guide their rituals and shape the cult into your own heroic vision, whether noble, nasty or just plain weird,” the announcement reads.
