How to level up Driver XP - Wardogs

Despite the speed of vehicles, leveling up your Driver class in Wardogs can take some time.

While it’s important not to min-max the fun out of a game, it can take a while to level up the Driver XP in Wardogs. The reason being is that other than driving from headquarters to the control zone, it’s not common to spend much time in a vehicle. Besides, surely there are more efficient ways to level up your Driver class than just dropping people off? There is.

How to level up Driver

The Driver class in Wardogs levels up any time you perform an action related to a ground vehicle. This includes the cars, SUVs, tanks, and any armored vehicle. This does not cover aircraft, which is the Pilot class. There are three things you should focus to gain XP for your Driver class:

1. Drive people into and around the control zone
2. Deliver logistics to the FOBs
3. Drive the APC into the zone

The first thing you can do is to buy a vehicle and drive players into the zone. If they are safely delivered, you will earn XP. Once you level up your Driver class, you can unlock a vehicle with a mounted turret – you should switch to this and have someone be your gunner while driving around the zone. Any kill they get while using your mounted gun will earn you Driver XP.

Secondly, you can deliver logistics to any of your team’s FOBs. These forward operating bases always need resources, and while flying them in with a helicopter is faster, you do earn XP when driving them in.

Finally, when a team hits 20 tickets, each team will get an APC which acts as a mobile spawn point when driven to the control zone. Drive this into the control zone and you will get Driver XP any time a player uses the APC as a spawn point.

Getting enough XP to level up the Driver class is going to take a lot of focused effort in Wardogs. It’s not as easy as leveling up Assault or another class which benefits from simply shooting, but it’s worth doing if you want some of the better vehicles.
