How to use Focus Mode in The Blood of Dawnwalker
See beyond the obvious.
by Aidan O'Brien · ShacknewsThere is a lot to see and do in The Blood of Dawnwalker, and lots of mechanics to explore. If you've played any kind of RPG game in the last decade, you'll be familiar with investigating environments and figuring out how to progress the story via a special vision. In The Blood of Dawnwalker, that is called focus mode.
How to use Focus Mode in The Blood of Dawnwalker
To use focus mode in The Blood of Dawnwalker, you need to hit the left trigger on your controller or the right button on your mouse. This will cause the on-screen color to dim, highlighting certain elements in different colors.
- Gold - this color will denote quest items and people related to active quests.
- Red: enemy characters will appear red. Please note, their character model will be red; all health bars in the game will be red, even those of friendly characters. This is especially important at night, when all characters show up as red, and it is easy to accidentally attack normal people.
- White - containers, plants you can harvest, and general NPCs will show up as white. Note: just because an item is white doesn't mean you should just take it, as stealing can lead to issues.
When investigating mysteries, it is good to be in Focus Mode as much as you can, as it will help you find footprints and important items. It can also be great to help you find food and animals in the woods.
