Virtua Fighter Crossroads reveals the mysterious Bakunawa Killer at EVO 2026

Something about this fighter seems very... familiar.

Reveals are coming quickly and frequently at EVO 2026. Moments after Riot Games unveiled what was next for 2XKO, Sega almost immediately followed with a fresh reveal for the upcoming Virtua Fighter Crossroads. A new character surfaced in a debut trailer, one that may have some long-time fans buzzing.

The Bakunawa Killer is a masked villain who has struck fear in many across Vilasapara. Pai Chan looks to get to the bottom of this mysterious figure and, after a brief scuffle, manages to remove his mask. Her reaction seems to indicate that she's greatly distressed by what she's seen. Between her reaction and the Bakunawa Killer's moves, this would seemingly indicate that it's her father, Lau Chan, under the mask.

The identity of the Bakunawa Killer looks like it'll be a pivotal plot point in the Virtua Fighter Crossroads story. RGG Studio has some grand ambitions for the next Virtua Fighter, so it'll be interesting to see how this latest incarnation of the game ultimately pans out.
