Metro 2039 secures a February 2027 release date

The latest entry in the Metro franchise got a new look during the Xbox Games Showcase.

Metro 2039 was unveiled at the Xbox Games Showcase 2026. The trailer gave players a look at iconic Metro combat, survival, and stealth. Take a look at the trailer below.

The Metro 2039 reveal took place at the Xbox Games Showcase 2026 on June 7, 2026. The trailer showed the main character slinking through dark and dangerous corridors, finding explosive new items, and shooting soldiers as well as untold horrors. It was also an opportunity to reveal that the game is coming in February 2027.
