Microsoft has posted its Q1 FY27 earnings results, and it looks like another quarter of good news for the company. Microsoft put up wins on revenue and earnings-per-share (EPS) against Wall Street expectations and nearly matched whisper number estimates.

Microsoft put up its Q1 FY27 earnings results on its investor relations website, where the company claimed a final revenue of $92.3 billion for the quarter. That was more than enough to beat out the $90.58 billion expected by Wall Street. Meanwhile, its EPS ended up at $4.92 per share. That was enough to beat Wall Street’s median estimate of $4.71 per share. It was only one penny behind that whisper number estimate at $4.93 per share.

Microsoft (MSFT) stock was up in after-hours trading following the release of its Q1 FY27 earnings results.

Even before the AI boom, Microsoft was one of the world’s foremost tech giants on the back of its cloud computing and business networking solutions. With AI technology now holding much of the world’s attention, Microsoft has relentlessly pursued investment in it on the back of products and services like Copilot. The company is also going through a major restructure, including offering voluntary buyouts to up to 60,000 of its employees.

Nonetheless, Microsoft’s Q1 FY27 bottom line looked strong. As we follow its restructuring, stay tuned for more news and updates on the Microsoft topic.
