When is the Marathon free-to-play week?

Marathon has a free-to-play week from June 2 until June 9, 2026. The Open Play Week for Marathon is available on Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, meaning anyone, on any platform, can get in and see what all the fuss is about. Marathon also features crossplay, so you don’t need to worry about which platform to use.

For those that jump in for free, any progress that is made during the free week will carry over into Season 2. So, if you like what you played and decide to purchase the game, you won’t have to start all over again.

If you’ve been standing on the sideline considering playing, now is the time to jump in and test the water with Marathon’s free-to-play week. As an extraction shooter, it’s a tough, and niche, game, so come prepared by checking out our Marathon Strategy Guide.
