Rabbi Pinney Herman, MEd., Somatic Practitioner and marriage educator, gave a recent lecture at the Shidduch House in Crown Heights on Somatic Healing, Imago Theory, and transformative Torah-rooted insight on dating.
Blending Somatic healing principles with Imago Theory and grounding it all firmly in Torah-based, Chassidic ideals, Rabbi Herman offered a fresh, real, and deeply relatable perspective on dating and relationships. His approach demonstrated how emotional wellness and personal growth are not only supported by Torah, but illuminated by it.
Through this fusion of modern psychological understanding and timeless Torah wisdom, he translated complex emotional patterns into clear, practical, spiritually aligned guidance. Participants left with a sense of clarity, empowerment, and renewed purpose—recognizing that healthy relationships begin with inner awareness and the Torah’s blueprint for connection.
Attendees walked away with tools to recognize their emotional triggers, understand the root of relational patterns, and approach dating with greater self-awareness, menuchas hanefesh, and confidence. The warmth, humor, and sincerity he brought to the room created an environment where meaningful learning—and genuine self-reflection—felt natural, grounded, and accessible.
It was an incredible evening of insight, connection, and Torah-rooted growth. We are already looking forward to welcoming Rabbi Herman again, this time together with his wife, for an even richer and more expansive exploration of emotional wellness, Torah values, and healthy relationships.
