This upcoming Sunday, the 16th of Iyar, Chassidus in Color will announce the contest winners at an Evening of Art event at the JCM, sponsored by JOBURG.

The community is invited to explore the gallery, enjoy an incredible lineup of speakers, and experience an immersive 12 Pesukim presentation, this year’s theme. Fleishigs will be served.
The mission behind this project is to challenge artists to join the effort of conveying Chassidus through art, since artists have a unique ability to captivate audiences in a way few others can. This year, participants have truly given it their all. With new artists and new countries joining the contest, this is an event you won’t want to miss.

One new Canadian artist, Yehuda Lang, shared: “I was going back and forth developing an idea for my artwork, with the final piece, Baruch Hashem, being ready only an hour and a half before submissions closed. I’m very proud of my finished piece.” For an Australian artist, the struggle was finding a way to get the piece to America. יגעתי ומצאתי תאמין, it made it.
The esteemed panel of judges, Rabbi Yossi Paltiel, Rabbi Mendy Wolf, Michoel Muchnik, Mush Kanner, Estee Klein, and a new judge this year, world-renowned artist Joel Gluck, have already invested many hours deliberating and thoroughly reviewing each submission.

The event will be MCed by Alter Deitsch, who will introduce Rabbi Simon Jacobson, as well as speakers Michoel Muchnik and Yitzchok Moully, who will share words of inspiration. Event organizers hope that everyone will take home something meaningful, whether art, inspiration, or the motivation to let their own talents shine.

The Tzivos Hashem Track will feature artwork from young contestants, each of whom will receive a special participation gift. This year marks fifty years since the Rebbe introduced the 12 Pesukim, making children’s involvement especially meaningful. Fleishig refreshments will be served.

The Minsky family’s ArtToFrame in New Haven created options for those too far away to ship original artwork, offering modern prints with a quick turnaround. For Anne-Carole Telliez of Germany, this made it possible for her piece to be displayed in person.

The sponsors of the evening, Yuda Holtzburg and Fitz Baumgarten of JOBURG, are proud to make this exquisite JCM Gallery event possible. With innovation being a major part of their business model, this unique evening is right up their alley.

The artwork will be on display in the Maor Art Gallery and the Betzalel Art Gallery until Shavuos. The schedule can be found below.

A sincere thank you goes out to Moshe Katz for his constant management of the social media; to Hinda Greenberg for coordinating the shipping and delivery of the artwork; and to Abigail Meyer, Yitzchok Moully, and Miriam Rappaport for advising the contest. Special thanks as well to Yossi Teitlebaum and Berel Keller for the countless hours they invested in setting up the various venues of the competition.
