Yeshivas Chayeinu in Crown Heights is Filling the Void
Yeshivas Chayeinu, a new Yeshiva for bochurim ages 14-17, will be launching in Crown Heights next year, led by Rabbi Shlomo Feldman, Founder of Yeshivas Kayitz Cozumel and Mashpia at B’nei Aliya.
by COLlive Editor · COLliveAs the demand is ever growing, the time has come to announce the opening of a new style Mesivta in Crown Heights, Yeshivas Chayeinu.
What is a Mesivta Bachur in crown heights supposed to do if he’s still finding his way with yiddishkeit? Should he really continue struggling to keep his yeshivas standards and pretend that everything is ok? After all, “where else is he supposed to go?”
When a bachur is asking himself “If I’m not excited about torah and mitzvos, why am I still in this yeshiva?” does it really make sense to keep him in an environment that doesn’t fit where he’s holding? How long will we try to make this work until the bachur and/or the yeshiva are just done?
While different options for Mesivtas exist outside of crown heights, there aren’t any options for the boys in our own community that tend to the needs of the Bochur who doesn’t yet feel passionate about Limmud Hatorah and serving the Aibeshter, who wants to work on this in an authentic Yeshiva setting with Chassidisher standards and some more flexibility.
This is the void we’re filling in Crown Heights.
Yeshivas Chayeinu for bochurim ages 14-17
Yeshivas Chayeinu is committed to bringing out the deeper meaning of every aspect of yiddishkeit, showing our boys how physically pleasurable it is to live a life of torah and mitzvos the way our Rebbeim have taught is.
Heading the Program will be Rabbi Shlomo Feldman, Founder of Yeshivas Kayitz Cozumel and Mashpia at B’nei Aliya. With the support and guidance from many mosdos in and out of crown heights including Rabbi Wilhelm and Rabbi Silman from Oholei torah, Rabbi Sandhaus from Darchei Menachem, and Rabbi Uri Perlman from Beis Menachem Youth Development program, Yeshivas Chayeinu is opening it’s doors for the upcoming year of 5787.
Every bachur has strengths and talents. Our vision is that every bachur feels empowered to be the best version of themselves that they can possibly be, and that happens through seeing and accepting our boys where they are now, while motivating them to be even better than they are already.
Our curriculum includes:
Chassidus classes with a strong focus on practical application and mental health.
Applied Gemara focusing on the real life scenarios that stem from the gemara, together with gaining the skills of learning how to learn gemara.
Sha’ar Habitachon one of the foundational sefarim that provide the tools for a healthy mindset in life.
Moshiach Shiur exploring what it means to live a Geulah Lifestyle
Halacha with a focus on why this is the healthiest way to live life.
Chitas challenging the boys to find ways to connect it with their personal lives.
Eagle a time to reflect and discuss the days learning as a group, Integrating what we’re taking away from our day.
