In preparation for Gimmul Tammuz, the High School Shluchim of Yeshiva College Melbourne organized a school-wide Hachana Mivtza centered around two key directives of the Rebbe: studying his Horaos and learning his Torah.

For students in Years 7 and 8, the focus was on learning Chitas. Over the course of the mivtza, approximately 30 boys committed to learning Chitas daily and were regularly tested on their knowledge and consistency. Through this effort, many students strengthened their connection to one of the Rebbe’s most emphasized daily practices.

For students in Years 9, 10, 11, 12, and Mesivta, the mivtza focused on learning the Rebbe’s maamer V’Atah Tetzaveh. Participants were tested on the maamer and engaged in shakla v’tarya, gaining a deeper understanding and appreciation of the Rebbe’s Torah. More than 50 boys took part in this track of the Mivtza.

The initiative was planned and run by the dedicated High School Shluchim: Yosef Kahan, Melie Greenbaum, Eli Rabin, Mendy Tevardovitz, Meir Lewin, and Yisroel Silverman. Through many hours of planning, organizing, testing, and encouraging participants, the Shluchim helped create a meaningful Hachana program that engaged students across the high school.

The Mivtza concluded with an exciting raffle for a ticket to spend Tishrei by the Rebbe. Congratulations to Zevy Schachter, the winner of the raffle.

A special thank you goes to Mr. Josh and Mrs. Robyn Goldhirsch, whose generous sponsorship made this mivtza and raffle possible.

May the learning and inspiration generated through this hachana continue to have a lasting impact on all the participants, bringing them closer to the Rebbe’s Horaos and Torah.
