The “Samaria Public Diplomacy Delegation” began its U.S. diplomatic visit with a meaningful stop early this morning at the Rebbe’s resting place in Queens, New York, ahead of their participation in the inauguration of President Donald Trump.
Yossi Dagan, head of the Samaria Regional Council, stated: “I chose, together with the Samaria Regional Council’s public diplomacy delegation, to begin our diplomatic journey in the United States, culminating in the inauguration of President-elect Donald Trump, here at the Rebbe’s resting place in Queens.”
“When I come here, I am strengthened by the Rebbe’s teachings, which continue to inspire Samaria and all of Israel. As pioneers from Samaria, we come as representatives of the Jewish people to pray for the success of President Trump and the Israeli government, that they may take full advantage of this historic opportunity.”
“In these challenging times, with waves of terror striking both the north and south of Israel, we draw strength from this place to fulfill our mission and seize the historic opportunity granted to us by G-d—for the people of Israel, the Land of Israel, and the Torah of Israel.”
Dagan, alongside Congresswoman Claudia Tenney (Republican – NY-24), will launch the Congressional Caucus for Judea and Samaria in Washington, D.C., later this week.
The caucus, dedicated to strengthening settlement efforts and garnering international support for Judea and Samaria, is set to provide a vital platform for bolstering ties between Israel, its supporters in Congress, and the American public.
The delegation’s visit includes meetings with members of Congress and the Senate, Jewish leaders across the U.S., and senior figures in the new administration, aiming to deepen connections and rally support for settlement initiatives.
Dagan is scheduled to deliver speeches at various conferences and meet with senators, congressmen, prominent pastors, evangelical leaders, senior Republican officials, and representatives of the new administration. These efforts are part of a broader initiative to strengthen settlement ties within the U.S. political and diplomatic landscape.
In recent years, the Samaria Regional Council has focused on building connections with political and diplomatic figures from the U.S., Europe, and beyond. Evangelical pastors, elected officials, and senior Republican figures have visited Israel and Samaria as part of this outreach.
