New Interest-Free Wedding Financing for Chabad Educators
Eligible mechanchim can now finance their entire share of the Keren Hachomesh Wedding Package through an interest-free loan, with repayment beginning only after the wedding.
by COLlive Editor · COLliveIn a significant expansion of its longstanding support for Chabad educators, Keren Levi Yitzchak has announced a new initiative that will enable eligible mechanchim to finance their share of the Keren Hachomesh Wedding Package through an interest-free loan.
For decades, Keren Levi Yitzchak has assisted Chabad educators through short-term, interest-free loans, helping families navigate unexpected financial challenges. This marks the first time the fund has introduced a dedicated loan program for a specific life milestone – helping mechanchim finance the cost of a child’s wedding.
The initiative was developed in partnership with the Keren Hachomesh Wedding Package, which has already helped dozens of Anash families celebrate beautiful weddings at a steeply discounted cost through specially negotiated pricing. By combining those savings with interest-free financing, organizers hope to remove one of the largest remaining financial hurdles facing many educators.
“Marrying off a child is one of life’s greatest simchos, but it can also be one of its greatest financial challenges. As we looked at the success of the Keren Hachomesh Wedding Package, we realized we had an opportunity to help mechanchim even more,” Rabbi Shmaya Krinsky said. “Keren Levi Yitzchak has long been providing interest-free loans to educators, and by making those loans available for the Keren Hachomesh Wedding Package, we were able to create a new benefit that removes the burden of paying the remaining balance before the wedding.”
How the New Benefit Works
Families first reserve their Keren Hachomesh Wedding Package by completing the required $5,000 booking payment, which secures their wedding date with the Keren Hachomesh Wedding Package.
At that point, the new Keren Levi Yitzchak benefit becomes available. The financing applies to the remaining balance – not the booking payment itself.
For eligible Chabad educators, their entire remaining share of the package – currently $12,250 – may be financed through an interest-free Keren Levi Yitzchak loan. No payments are required before the wedding. Instead, repayment begins one month after the wedding and may be spread over 12 months, allowing families to celebrate their simcha before beginning repayment.
Organizers believe the new benefit will make the Keren Hachomesh Wedding Package accessible to even more mechanchim while extending Keren Levi Yitzchak’s mission in a meaningful new way.
“Teachers dedicate their lives to building the next generation,” Rabbi Krinsky added. “This initiative is another way of ensuring that when they reach one of the happiest moments in their own families, they have the support they deserve.”
Families interested in learning more about the new financing option or determining their eligibility are encouraged to contact Keren Levi Yitzchak or Keren Hachomesh.
