Rain, thunderstorms expected across Sarawak this Friday
by Aileen Yap · Borneo Post OnlineKUCHING (Dec 18): Sarawak is forecast to experience rain and thunderstorms throughout tomorrow (Dec 19), according to the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia).
Morning rain is expected in Kuching, Serian, Samarahan, Betong, Sarikei and Mukah, while Sri Aman, Sibu, Kapit, Bintulu, Miri and Limbang are forecast to remain dry during this period.
By the afternoon, thunderstorms are expected across most parts of the state including Kuching, Serian, Samarahan, Sri Aman, Betong, Sarikei, Sibu, Mukah, Kapit, Bintulu, Miri and Limbang.
At night, rain is forecast over Sibu, Mukah, Kapit, Bintulu, Miri and Limbang, while conditions in the remaining areas are expected to be dry.
Meanwhile, coastal waters off Sarawak are expected to experience moderate sea conditions, with wave heights of between 1.0 and 1.5 metres and winds blowing at 20 to 30 kilometres per hour from the northeast.
Temperatures across the state are forecast to range between 24°C and 33°C.
