STAR appoints new leadership after state polls

KOTA KINABALU (Dec 22): Parti Solidariti Tanah Airku (STAR) Sabah, during its Supreme Council meeting on Monday, announced several new appointments to fill vacancies following the Sabah State Legislative Assembly general election held on November 29.

STAR President Datuk Seri Dr. Jeffrey G. Kitingan presented letters of appointment to Assistant Finance Minister Datuk Mohd Ishak Dayuk Ayub, who is also the Bingkor assemblyman, as Acting Deputy President, replacing Datuk Robert Tawik.

“We also announced the appointment of Datuk Lawrence Gimbang as Acting Deputy President, replacing Datuk Ellron Alfred Angin,” he said.

Meanwhile, Nelson Martin Idang was appointed Acting Chief of Wiramuda, replacing Jordan Jude Ellron, Datuk Fung Len Fui was appointed Acting Vice President, replacing Datuk Flovia Ng, Mohd Raffee Shakir was appointed Treasurer-General, replacing Datuk Arlinsia Agang, who has been appointed as STAR Sabah’s General Manager, a newly created position.

In addition, Dr Henry Bating was appointed Assistant Information Chief, replacing Ardino Diris, while Jackerson Ng was appointed Assistant Treasurer-General, replacing Raffee following his elevation to Treasurer-General.

The list of new appointments was read out by STAR Secretary-General Datuk Edward Linggu, assisted by Assistant Secretary-General Rizal Johari.
