He said this is likely upon the full completion of the Pan Borneo Highway and optimal development of Bandar Benoni.
“Papar’s strategic location along the main highway route positions it as a high-potential area to attract visitors from outside, including tourists and cross-border traders.
“Once the Pan Borneo Highway is fully completed, road users will be able to reach Kota Kinabalu in a much shorter time.
“Careful planning and well-structured development are crucial to ensure Papar is nto just a stopover, but evolves into a destination capable of attracting more visitors in the future,” he said when officiating the launch of a Famous Salim Nasi Kandar outlet at Bandar Benoni here.
He added the development would not only enhance connectivity between districts, but create more economic opportunities for locals.
“With improved infrastructure readiness and better basic facilities, Papar can offer a range of amenities such as rest areas, commercial centres, and attractive local tourism products, and catalyse local economic growth while increasing income and improving standard of living of the community,” he said.
Masidi also called on local entrepreneurs, especially Bumiputera traders, to be prudent and disciplined in managing their business finances.
“The importance of saving capital and making contributions for reinvestment in businesses is key to strengthening economic standing and generating better income in the future,” he said.
