DARO (March 5): Plans are underway to upgrade the Daro Ramadan Bazaar site to ensure the comfort of both vendors and visitors, said Daro assemblyman Safiee Ahmad.

He said the upgrade would be funded under the Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) project.

“The government continuously strives to provide facilities that enable small traders to seize opportunities to increase their family income, especially during the blessed month of Ramadan,” he told the Sarawak Public Communications Unit at the official opening of the Daro Ramadan Bazaar 2025 yesterday.

According to Safiee, the traders participating in the Ramadan bazaar include residents from Daro, Matu, Pulau Bruit, and outside vendors.

He urged vendors to maintain cleanliness and the quality of their products, especially food and beverages, for the benefit of everyone.

The 2025 Daro Ramadan Bazaar, which is under the supervision of the Matu Daro District Council (MDMD), features 94 stalls, a significant increase compared to the previous year’s 74 stalls.
