Why Some of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s Wedding Guests Don’t Have to Sign NDAs
· CosmopolitanTaylor Swift and Travis Kelce have sent out NDAs to all their wedding guests (not to mention watermarked digital invites to prevent leaks), but apparently some people get to opt out. Basically, the closer you are to the couple, the less likely you’ll be asked to sign legal docs ahead of their wedding.
“Their closest friends and family haven’t been asked to sign NDAs,” a source tells Page Six. “Protecting their privacy is just something everyone in their inner circle has always naturally done. Nobody wants to be the reason details leak. The people in their inner circle have gone out of their way to protect them. Some even offered to sign NDAs simply to give Taylor and Travis extra peace of mind.”
Tay and Trav are said to be “incredibly grateful for the people around them” and “know there’s enormous interest in every detail of their wedding plans, so they don’t take for granted how fiercely loyal their friends and family have been. [They’ve] been able to enjoy this experience without wondering who’s going to talk or what’s going to end up in the press because the people in their lives genuinely want to protect them and that’s not something they take for granted.”
Sources previously told TMZ that an electronic nondisclosure agreement was sent to Taylor and Travis’s 1,000 guests, but that it does not include a “monetary penalty.” So, anyone who violates the terms won’t actually be punished, and it’s more of a gentle reminder to keep wedding details private.
A source also told Us Weekly, “The save the date was sent electronically, and guests had to agree to an NDA before they could see any details.”
