Police swarm Michigan shopping center after 'significant' shooting incident

Police in Dearborn, Michigan, rushed to the Fairlane Town Center mall Friday afternoon following a shooting that authorities have labeled a "significant incident."

Law enforcement have not yet released information regarding potential casualties, suspect descriptions or what led to the gunfire.

The Dearborn Police Department issued an urgent warning to the public on social media, instructing all residents and visitors to avoid the area while officers work to secure the active scene.

"We are asking residents and visitors to avoid the area while officers secure the scene and investigators conduct their work," the department said.
