Ivanka Trump, US President Donald Trump’s daughter, was the target of an assassination plot by an Iraqi terrorist with ties to Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). Mohammad Baqer Saad Dawood Al-Saadi, 32, who was recently arrested by US authorities on federal terrorism charges, allegedly made a “pledge” to kill Ivanka Trump in retaliation for the 2020 US drone strike that killed his mentor, Iranian commander Qasem Soleimani.

According to a report by the New York Post, citing sources, said that Al-Saadi even possessed a blueprint of Trump’s Florida home as part of the planning.

The accused Al-Saadi faces multiple terrorism-related charges for allegedly directing attacks and planning operations in the US and elsewhere.

American authorities have stated that the plots were thwarted, and Ivanka Trump remains safe, as per the NYP report.

No official statement has been released by the Trump family or the White House at the time of writing. This incident comes amid heightened US-Iran tensions.

This is a developing story, further details awaited.
