‘Swapped’ Hits 38.7 Million Views in Seven Days, Netflix’s Best-Ever Single-Week Viewership for an Animated Movie

After debuting as Netflix’s No. 2 English-language film of the week with 15.5 million views in its first three days, “Swapped” took a major leap, hitting 38.7 million views during the week of May 4-10. That’s the largest audience a Netflix animated movie has ever achieved in a seven-day period.

Naturally, that took the film to the top of the charts for the week. “Swapped” ranked as not only the most-watched English-language film of the week, but the most watched title on Netflix overall. It was followed by “Apex,” a Charlize Theron-led thriller film that achieved 16.2 million views in its third week on the chart.
The third-most-watched title overall and the top TV title for the second week in a row was “Man on Fire” starring Yahya Abdul-Mateen with 12.6 million views. Also in its second week was “Should I Marry a Murderer?,” which took second palce with 8 million views, tying with the debut of “Worst Ex Ever” Season 2.
