Merged Banijay, All3Media Entity Sets Top Brass Comprised of Banijay Execs

by · Variety

The newly-merged Banijay/All3Media entity, officially now known as Banijay Entertainment, has unveiled its senior leadership team.

Joining CEO Marco Bassetti, deputy CEO Jane Turton and Banijay Rights CEO Cathy Payne on the executive team will be Fred Balmary as chief business officer, Nicolas Chazarain as chief legal officer, Thomas Gousset as chief finance officer and Anne Van Sprang as chief human resources officer.

Bassetti also confirmed that Lucas Green will stay on as chief content officer for operations, James Townley as chief content officer for development and Kate Humphreys as chief communications officer.

They will all report to Bassetti.

Other than Turton, who was previously CEO of All3Media, all of the team originate from Banijay, with most of them also pre-dating Banijay’s 2020 acquisition of Endemol Shine, including Balmary, Chazarain, Van Sprang, Humphreys and Green. Gousset joined Banijay just a few months before the Endemol deal completed. Of the group, Townley is the only one who came from Endemol itself.

In a company-wide memo, Bassetti wrote: “Since their appointments, this group has made a significant contribution to the business, with many playing an integral role in delivering the merger and advancing the current integration – please join me in congratulating them as we embark on this next chapter.”

He added: “We will formally introduce the team across the business as the integration progresses. In the meantime, we appreciate your patience as we continue through this period of change.”

All3Media’s Thomas Shearer and Jamie McIntyre-Brown are also staying on as deputy CFO and deputy CLO respectively.

Banijay’s merger with All3Media – which has also seen it sunset the All3Media brand – completed in July. The new behemoth, which is chaired by Redbird IMI’s Jeff Zucker, now owns dozens of production companies across the world as well as superbrands raging from “The Traitors” to “Peaky Blinders.”
