Woman pays just RM130 for emergency c-section thanks to frequent blood donor benefits

Fatima Zahara shared that she had to undergo an emergency C-section due to fetal distress and stayed in a second-class ward at HCJ for three days.

Despite the total bill coming up to almost RM4,000, she only had to pay around RM130 thanks to the subsidy she received as a frequent blood donor.

“I was able to deliver my baby in a second-class ward at Cyberjaya Hospital at a cheaper price. HCJ doesn’t have first-class wards, by the way. I was warded for three days. I had to undergo an emergency C-section due to fetal distress. The total cost would have been almost RM4,000 without the subsidy,” she wrote.

“Thank you to the Malaysian government”

Fatima Zahara added that the bill also covered her baby’s week-long stay in the NICU, where she stayed with her baby for four days.

“Thank you to the Malaysian government for the benefits given to frequent blood donors. After the subsidy, I only had to pay around RM130. This included my baby’s week-long stay in the NICU, where I also stayed with my baby for four days,” she wrote.

She also took the opportunity to thank the Malaysian government for the benefits given to frequent blood donors, as well as the nurses and doctors at HCJ.
