Five dead after shooting in northern German city
· RTE.ieGerman police said five people were killed and others injured in a shooting in a youth welfare facility in the northern city of Stade.
Two people have been arrested.
One of the detainees is the suspected shooter, and the role of the other is currently unclear, a police spokesperson said, adding that no other suspects were at large.
It is unclear how many people have been injured, he said.
All of the victims are adults, police said.
Stade, a town of just below 50,000 people, is located to the west of Hamburg.
Police said there is no further danger to the public.
