World Series 2026 begins tonight—Where to watch Rays-Brewers Game 1 for free
· New York PostThe World Series is here, and no matter the result, it will be one for the history books.
This year’s Fall Classic between the Tampa Bay Rays and Milwaukee Brewers begins tonight, Oct. 23, and for the first time since 1980, whichever team wins will become a first-time World Series champion.
Though neither team has won, Tampa Bay came close in 2020, where they lost to the Dodgers. It’s just the second time ever for the Brewers, whose last and only World Series appearance came in 1982.
