Justin Tucker signs with desperate Chiefs after being banished for sexual misconduct accusations

Harrison Butker is quickly losing his grasp on the Chiefs kicking job.

Kansas City has signed Justin Tucker to its practice squad amid a career-worst start to the season for Butker, in which he has hit just 68.8 percent of his kicks.

Butker was short on a 58-yard field goal as he missed two of his three kicks in the Chiefs’ first loss of the season to the Seahawks on Sunday night.

Coming up short from 58 yards in today’s NFL is largely considered unacceptable given where kickers are hitting from these days, with many able to hit 60-plus yard kicks with ease.

Tucker is trying to find his way back into the league after he was released by the Ravens following multiple massage therapists accusing him of misconduct described as inappropriate behavior.

The 36-year-old former Ravens kicker — considered one of the best of all time — was suspended by the league before the 2025 season for 10 games amid the sexual misconduct scandal.

The Chiefs represent his first chance with an NFL team, after he previously worked out for the Jets earlier this year.
