Vote for prosperity & security: The Post’s endorsements for NY’s House races
· New York PostNew York state’s Republican House incumbents deserve to retain their seats, and The Post strongly endorses their re-election.
We have already made the case for Rep. Mike Lawler in the swinging 17th Congressional District, where he faces a tight race against the carpetbagging Cait Conley, but the rest of the delegation merits plaudits, too.
Nicole Maliotakis, New York City’s highest ranked elected Republican, repping Staten Island and Bay Ridge, has solidified her hold over the once-purple 11th CD through steady advocacy for her constituents on immigration enforcement and opposition to the rising socialist tide across the city.
Nick LaLota and Andrew Garbarino of the 1st and 2nd districts, covering Suffolk and a slice of Nassau, are solid moderates with a proven willingness to work across the aisle without sacrificing their commitment to core values of lower taxes and limited government.
Nick Langworthy, repping the Southern Tier and the Buffalo suburbs in the 23rd CD, backs strong immigration enforcement and US energy independence. He’s rightly a relentless critic of Gov. Kathy Hochul’s feckless economic policies, not least the foolish ban on fracking, a technique that has enriched next-door counties in Pennsylvania.
Claudia Tenney, in Upstate’s vast 24th district, is also committed to expanding Empire State energy production. New York needs this staunch advocate for national security and border security in Congress.
Fighting to keep retiring Elise Stefanik’s seat North Country in the 21st CD red, entrepreneur Anthony Constantino is committed to expanding prosperity across New York and opposition to ruinous leftist policies make him the obvious choice.
Want to fight socialism in the city? Caroline Shinkle, a lawyer with government and financial experience, brings a pro-business, pro-jobs, pro-safety outlook in the Manhattan Upper East Side-West Side 12th CD, while further south in the 10th CD Jennifer Moore offers an honorable alternative to the odious Brad Lander.
