Hochul’s grand plan to ‘resist’ Trump: Letters to the Editor — Nov. 10, 2024

· New York Post

The Issue: Gov. Hochul’s plan for a statewide initiative to combat President-elect Trump’s policy agenda.

Gov. Hochul and state Attorney General Letitia James announced their initiative to oppose the President-elect Donald Trump’s administration (“Let the war games begin,” Nov. 7).

Similar programs exist in places like Iran, Afghanistan, North Korea, Russia, and China. If they use taxpayer funds and state personnel to support this initiative, they should be impeached.

They can call it what they like, but it’s treason. The Democrats’ arrogance led to their loss, and Hochul and James are lucky to still be in office.

Our current governor may be the most unqualified person to occupy the governor’s mansion. Her declaration on how she plans to resist the new Trump administration is, in one word: insane.

Gov. Hochul talks out of both sides of her mouth (“Wise Kat retracts her claws,” Editorial, Oct. 9) .

One day, she’s vowing to fight President-elect Trump “tooth and nail” on his policies. The next day, she’s on a call with him, saying they’ll work in tandem for New York.

Who is she kidding? It’s obvious she can’t govern as a governor should.

Under her leadership and Mayor Eric Adams’, New York City and state have declined. Next year, we’ll vote for a new mayor, and the year after, for a new governor. I hope New Yorkers remember this double talk then.

What a contrast in leadership.

While Gov. Hochul and AG James proved themselves to be partisan and self-serving leaders willing to throw New Yorkers under the bus, Trump took the high road, speaking of reconciliation and his desire to help rebuild the state.

His conciliatory tone validates his desire to make America great and build inroads with New Yorkers.

Letitia James is still at it, and she and Hochul are horrible.

These women should be banned from New York. Trump offered help to New Yorkers, but they can’t accept that people want him to fix our mess.
New York, like the rest of America, will soon have law and order and an administration that works for all.

Hochul and James are a reason for Trump’s landslide.

They focus on trivial matters instead of fighting crime, illegal immigration and human trafficking in New York. They preferred prosecuting citizens with an animal sanctuary and running a kangaroo court over bogus charges.

I think James and Gov, Hochul are reading New York’s electorate correctly.

Remember, three GOP congressmen lost, and numerous Democratic state assemblymen were voted in. Proposition 1, one of the most progressive pieces of legislation in the nation, passed by 1.7 million votes.
Hochul and James are about right to want to combat Trump’s policies in New York.

A huge takeaway from Trump’s comeback is his substantial vote tallies in big blue states.

Predictably, we saw sour grapes and teeth gnashing from progressive critics like Hochul and the Empire State’s lawfare lioness, Letitia James. If Trump’s mass deportation begins, you can bet these politicians won’t hesitate to enlist the services of left-wing BLM-Antifa shock troops.

New York has two problems: Gov. Kathy Hochul and AG Letitia James.

As the Empire State and Big Apple face commerce and workforce exodus, rising crime and fiscal chaos, Hochul and James spent millions to pursue lawfare against Trump.

Their irresponsible ventures worsen the infection of political ineptitude. The Empire State is now the “Ailing State,” the Big Apple, the “Rotten Apple.”

Like Nero when Rome burned, Hochul and James fiddle as New York collapses.
