Sunday didn’t do much in that regard for either flailing MetLife Stadium co-tenant, with their combined records dropping to a dismal 5-25 with two weeks to go before the merciful ending of another disastrous year in New York City-area football.
With nothing really at stake for the locals beyond draft positioning, the Jets and Giants at least can look around the league and see multiple examples of teams that have pulled off the franchise turnarounds they have been striving to reach for years.
More than half of the eight division leaders — the Broncos, Jaguars, Patriots, Bears and Panthers — were at or near the bottom of the league to some degree within the past few years.
