Juan Soto lands on injured list in latest 2026 Mets crusher

The Mets’ season has taken another hit.

Juan Soto was placed on the 10-day injured list on Saturday with a left calf strain. Eric Wagaman was recalled from Triple-A to take his spot on the roster.

Soto was lifted from Friday’s loss to the Dodgers in the sixth inning with what was initially described as “left calf soreness.”

The All-Star outfielder missed 15 games in April with a right calf strain, so this calf injury presents a different issue.

Soto has been one of the bright spots in a lost season for the Mets, as he leads the National League with a .408 on-base percentage and a .947 OPS.
