The Issue: A Canadian illegal immigrant allegedly slugging a teen in MAGA clothing on the Jersey Shore.

I was utterly disgusted to read about an illegal immigrant woman, Kaitlyn Tracey, being arrested for the assault and battery of a teen on the Jersey Shore (“ICE: Time she maple-leaves,” July 16).

This is not an isolated incident, as suggested by the accompanying stories of Tracey’s husband, as well as a former Marine candidate for the Florida legislature, both wishing for President Trump to die. This is not Trump Derangement Syndrome — it is insanity.

I am a member of the Jewish faith. I have seen people walk around wearing swastikas. You are less likely to be physically attacked while wearing Nazi paraphernalia than walking around with Trump merchandise.

Tracey is another example of America letting the wrong people into the country. When she’s finally gone, she can take her vile husband with her.

So I see the unhinged lefty woman slapping a teen girl for wearing pro-Trump attire didn’t work out so well for her.

Maybe she should have stayed in Canada, because in the United States you have a right to wear whatever you want. It’s covered by the First Amendment.

I see this story has a happy ending, as it turns out she was here illegally and is awaiting extradition.

I strongly recommend that the 16-year-old girl or her parents file a lawsuit against Tracey while we still have physical jurisdiction over her in the United States. Service of process will be a snap.

I also recommend that any of Tracey’s assets have liens put on them to ensure the girl will get paid if her lawsuit is successful. That would include the defense fund Tracey’s husband created for her.

I am sure there are a few lawyers in New Jersey who would be happy to take such a case.

The Issue: The Post editorial on Vice President JD Vance’s bid to blame Israel for the failed Iran MOU.

The Post’s editorial admonishing Vice President Vance for blaming Israel for his and the administration’s failures to end the Iran conflict is right on point (“Quit It, JD,” July 17).

The one-sided MOU that President Trump tasked him with negotiating was at best ill-conceived with virtually no chance of success.

Could anyone other than a true neophyte have expected that the Iranian leadership would actually honor an agreement forbidding them from engaging in terrorism and their ultimate goal of destroying Israel?

Moreover, to give grist to those already disposed to believe anything negative regarding Israel is shameful, pernicious and grossly irresponsible.

Thank you for your editorial calling out Vance as a purveyor of pure lies about Israel.

Whether prompted by ignorance or calculation, such distortions have no place in the mouth of anyone representing our government, and most especially not anyone who aspires to be president in 2028. As a Republican, I’d sooner vote Democrat over Vance.

Can someone please remind Vance that Israel is not the problem? Israel is only defending its right to exist.

He needs to remember the famous quip: If Muslims put down their weapons, there would be peace in the Middle East. If Israelis put down their weapons, there would be no Israel.
