The Magic are set for a major boost.

Moe Wagner is returning and will make his season debut on Sunday against the Pelicans in Orlando, the team announced Saturday.

He has been out since tearing his ACL in a Dec. 21, 2024, win over the Heat.

Wagner emerged as a Sixth Man of the Year candidate last year before his injury, averaging 19.9 points and 4.9 rebounds per game.

He returns to a Magic side that has slid a bit recently, going 6-6 in their last 12 games.

They sit eighth in the Eastern Conference at 21-18.

The Magic are still without Jalen Suggs for Sunday’s game.

He will miss his fifth straight game with a MCL contusion.

Franz Wagner had gotten off to a strong start to the year, averaging 22.7 points and 6.1 rebounds per game, and put himself in the conversation for his first All-Star appearance.

But his injury stopped that momentum.

Moe Wagner is in his seventh season in the NBA.

He was originally drafted with the No. 25 pick by the Lakers in 2018.
