Despite Arab and U.S. efforts to distance it from Iran, dynamics involving Pakistan are expected to reverberate across the Lebanese file. And U.S. President Donald Trump has taken a personal interest in the dossier, seeking to secure a diplomatic success.Saudi Arabia, for its part, has stepped up its engagement, setting out a series of principles reflected in the visit of its envoy, Yazid bin Farhan, to Lebanon.
