ITV I'm A Celebrity star quits trial after telling Ant and Dec 'it's not looking good'

One of the celebrities on I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! was pushed to their limit during a recent trial.

The ITV series greeted viewers once again on Thursday (November 21) with fan-favourites Ant and Dec steering the show, as they caught up with the newest collection of stars enduring life in the Australian wilderness.

In the latest episode, BBC Radio 1's Dean McCullough stepped up to face another menacing Bushtucker Trial named Lethal Lab. Meeting at the jungle's so-called scientific research space, Ant and Dec briefed Dean on what to expect.

His task began in the experimentation zone, where he had two minutes to successfully mix a green and a clear liquid for a chemical reaction, with the aim to gain two stars.

That was just the start though; he then faced 7 different containment areas, hunting for an additional 8 stars two of which were in the last area alone.

Dean quipped his strategy: "I like to overpromise and underdeliver," though he modestly aimed for a single star. Donning protective goggles and gloves buzzing with green ants, his confidence waned as he declared: "This is not looking good boys.", reports the Express.

Nevertheless, he conquered the first part, gaining two stars before advancing to the subsequent challenges.

However, the containment areas weren't for the faint-hearted, since Dean would be accompanied by various creatures such as cockroaches, crickets, mealworms, massive lizards, snakes, and spiders.

After earning two more stars, Dean approached containment area number five with trepidation, admitting he'd rather stay ignorant of whatever creature was joining him next.

As the compartment was filled with fish guts, Dean reached his limit and promptly exclaimed: "I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! ".

Upon his release, Dean expressed satisfaction with securing 4 stars for the camp, before returning to share the news with his fellow celebrities.

I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! continues nightly at 9pm on ITV1, STV and ITVX
