Fresno man arrested after Sacramento shooting kills one, critically wounds another

A 36-year-old Fresno man has been arrested in connection with a Sacramento shooting that killed one woman and left another critically wounded, police said Sunday.

Edward Lee Daniel Tucker Jr. was booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail on homicide-related charges, the Sacramento Police Department said. Jail records showed Tucker was being held without bail; no court date was listed.

Police said officers responded shortly after 3:30 p.m. Saturday to the 1700 block of Arden Way after receiving reports of a shooting. The shooting happened outside of Urban Air Trampoline and Adventure Park, across Arden Way from Arden Fair mall.

Officers found two adult women who had each been shot at least once, according to officers.

One woman was taken to a hospital. Sacramento Police Department spokesperson Officer Marcos Moreno said Sunday morning that she remained hospitalized in critical condition.

Officers provided emergency medical aid to the second woman until Sacramento Fire Department personnel arrived. She was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office will release the identity of the woman who died after her next of kin have been notified.

Police did not release information about what led to the shooting or the relationship, if any, between Tucker and the women. The circumstances remain under investigation.
