How to get a bow in Phantom Blade Zero

During the early parts of Phantom Blade Zero, you'll spot something hanging from a tree, and a red icon will appear, suggesting you're able to shoot it down with a bow. However, you don't have one, and the game doesn't tell you anything about how to get the Phantom Blade Zero bow. Follow these steps so that you can come back and grab the goodies.

How to get the Feather Bow in Phantom Blade Zero

The bow you're looking for is called the Feather Bow, and it is the first Phantom Edge in Phantom Blade Zero. Phantom Edges are special weapons that you can use a select few times in combat encounters, or as traversal tools while you explore. The Feather Bow can be used in combat, but its main use is to shoot things down from trees as you look around.

You need to progress through Phantom Blade Zero's first area a fair way past the spot where you first see the bow icon. You need to head past the main outpost, beat The Axemaster, and make your way towards the Sha-Chi Tower in the region.

You're looking for the Ruthless Archer Camp, which is up a hill to the left as you arrive at the area below the tower, just before the wooden bridge that takes you over to the massive structure.

Up the hill, you'll see another red bow icon in a tree, and then a bell to interact with just up some stairs. In the wooden hut there, you'll need to speak to an archer who's lying against a wall, clutching his bow. He'll give you something before he dies.

Now, interact with the bell there again, and fast travel to the Outpost location. Head back down the stairs towards the bow icon in the tree and speak to the man sitting on top of the building. He'll thank you for finding the archer and will give you his bow. You now have the Feather Bow Phantom Edge and can shoot the goodies down from the tree next to you.
