Where is Windward Moor in Frostpunk 2? The story mode in Frostpunk 2 involves a range of difficult decisions, and it’s your job as Steward to make them. Some of those might end badly though and upset the wrong people, steering your story in an unfortunate direction.

As factions begin to rage and protest in the city-building game, violence might break out across New London, and your job as Frostpunk 2 Steward is to decide how to handle it. One of those options involves exiling factions to Windward Moor, but more peaceful outcomes still allow this area to be colonized – once you find it and send some Frostland teams there.

Frostpunk 2 Windward Moor location

Windward Moor is directly south of New London. We have rotated the image above to fit both colonies in, but you can see that Windward Moor is on the other side of the Highlands, which needs to be explored before you can excavate Windward Moor itself.

Windward Moor is a large area in which you can start a new colony. However, in some playthroughs, you might also need to find the area to exile a rebellious faction and rid New London of their violence. This can happen is you make a bad decision when it comes to colonizing Winterhome in Frostpunk 2.

Either way, the area is full of enough resources for a self-sufficient colony, including food, materials, prefabs, and fuel. Starting a colony there requires some resources first, though: one core, ten Frostland teams, and 400 Prefabs.

Now you have found Windward Moor in the strategy game, it’s up to you what you do with it, as with any other Frostpunk 2 colony, though, it requires time to build up, as well as an income of Frostpunk 2 Heatstamps. You can’t build a separate Frostpunk 2 Council Hall here, though, as New London remains the capital of the area.
