Grass fire closes I-84 in Weber

SOUTH WEBER — A grass fire in Weber Canyon has forced I-84 to close Saturday afternoon.

The South Weber Fire Department said crews were on the scene of the 4.5-acre fire at the mouth of the canyon.

I-84 was later closed as flames were burning on both sides of the roadway, per incident command.

Officials have not said what caused the fire.
