We’ve previously reported here on Zirkzee attracting interest from Italian clubs such as Juventus and Napoli, and now five more suitors have been named.

The Netherlands international is also said to be a target for Roma, Atalanta, and Como, while Bundesliga duo Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Dortmund are monitoring his situation as well, according to Graeme Bailey of TEAMtalk.

See below as Bailey has posted on X about Zirkzee being most likely to return to Serie A this summer…

Zirkzee has flopped at United and it’s not surprising to see that he’s now likely to leave Old Trafford this summer.

Manchester United could struggle to offload Joshua Zirkzee

Zirkzee makes sense as someone United should try to get rid of in order to raise funds for signings elsewhere, but it won’t necessarily be easy.

As we recently reported, it’s our understanding that interested clubs are primarily looking at Zirkzee as a loan target.

The 24-year-old’s poor form during his time with MUFC means there will surely be clubs reluctant to pay up to sign him permanently for the time being.

It’s possible that Zirkzee will get back to his best in Serie A, where he shone as a youngster at Bologna, but that’s still a gamble plenty of clubs will probably be reluctant to take.

Major Man United exits this summer

We could see a major clear-out at United this summer, with Sky Sports naming Zirkzee alongside other big names like Manuel Ugarte, Andre Onana, and Rasmus Hojlund as players likely to be moved on at the end of this campaign.

Others like Casemiro and Jadon Sancho will also be leaving as they are due to be out of contract.
