Palace edge closer to agree £43m deal

Crystal Palace are interested in signing the AS Monaco midfielder Lamine Camara during the summer transfer window.

According to a report from Nice Matin, the French outfit will only sell the player if an offer of €60 million is made this summer. The 22-year-old has a contract with Monaco until 2029, and they are under no pressure to sell him.

They are prepared to wait patiently and are open to offers. Clubs will have to increase their offers in order to get the deal done. Crystal Palace have reportedly offered €50 million for the player. Liverpool and Manchester United are closely monitoring his situation as well.

Camara is a talented player with a bright future, and he has all the tools to develop into a top-class midfielder. Regular football in England could help him improve further and fulfil his elite potential.

Crystal Palace need more quality in the middle of the park, and Camara would be exceptional for them. It remains to be seen whether they decide to increase their offer in the remaining days of the window. The valuation from Monaco is not too far away from what Crystal Palace are willing to pay, and it is fair to assume that an agreement could be reached eventually.

Liverpool and Manchester United are keeping tabs on his situation as well, and they could use more depth in the middle of the park. It remains to be seen whether the offer from Crystal Palace forces them into a decision.

Camara will certainly look to sort out his future quickly and focus on his football. A move to the Premier League could be the ideal next step for him.
