Virginia man buys 20 tickets for one lottery drawing, wins $100,000

Aug. 27 (UPI) -- A Virginia man bought 20 identical tickets for a single Pick 4 lottery drawing and wound up winning a total $100,000 when his numbers came up.

The Nelson County man told Virginia Lottery officials he had a good feeling about the numbers 2-1-0-4, so he bought 20 tickets for the July 30 Pick 4 evening drawing from the Justis Convenient Store on 12th Street in Lynchburg.

His $20 bet on an exact-order wager paid off when each ticket earned him a $5,000 prize for a total payout of $100,000.

The winner said his prize money will go toward paying bills and bolstering his savings.
