Comedian Alex Duong dead at 42

March 29 (UPI) -- Comedian Alex Duong has died after a year-long battle with a rare and aggressive form of cancer. He was 42.

TMZ, People.com and Deadline.com reported the sad news Sunday.

Duong -- who appeared on Blue Bloods, Dexter, Everybody Hates Chris, 90210 and Jeff Ross Presents Roast Battle, had been suffering from alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma.

He went into septic shock Friday and died Saturday morning surrounded by his loved ones at St. John's Hospital in Santa Monica, Calif.

Duong is survived by his 5-year-old daughter, Everest, and wife, Cristina.
