'Devil Wears Prada 2' tops North American box office with $77M
by Karen Butler · UPIMay 3 (UPI) -- The Devil Wears Prada 2 -- a fashion comedy starring Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci -- is the No. 1 movie in North America, earning $77 million in receipts this weekend, BoxOfficeMojo.com announced Sunday.
Coming in at No. 2 with $54 million is Michael, followed by The Super Mario Galaxy Movie at No. 3 with $12.1 million, Project Hail Mary at No. 4 with $8.6 million and Hokum at No. 5 with $6.4 million.
Rounding out the top tier are Animal Farm at No. 6 with $3.4 million, Lee Cronin's The Mummy at No. 7 with $2.2 million, Deep Water at No. 8 with $2.15 million, That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime the Movie at No. 9 with $1 million and The Drama at No. 10 with $908,000.
