Prime Video renews 'Hazbin Hotel' for fifth and final season

April 26 (UPI) -- Prime Video has renewed its adult animated comedy, Hazbin Hotel, for a fifth and final season.

The first half of Season 3 is to premiere this fall with the second half slated to debut in 2027.

The show follows Charlie, "the princess of Hell, as she pursues her seemingly impossible goal of rehabilitating demons to peacefully reduce overpopulation in her kingdom," the streaming service explained in the synopsis.

The voice cast includes Erika, Henningsen, Stephanie Beatriz, Alex Brightman, Christian Borle and Keith David.

"From its inception, Hazbin Hotel has pushed the boundaries of adult animation through bold storytelling, vibrant artistry, and unapologetic heart," Melissa Wolfe, head of animation for Amazon MGM Studios, said in a statement Saturday.

"Vivienne Medrano and her team have built an extraordinary world that has captivated fans around the globe, and we're thrilled to give the series -- and its passionate community -- a fitting, unforgettable final chapter."
